Two Men Face Federal Charges in US District Court in Jackson for a alleged plot to go on a murder spree that they hoped would culminate in the assassination attempt of Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

In The Newsroom, Keith Sherley was the only media on hand when the suspects made their first court appearance. “The two suspects Daniel Cowart 20 of Bells and Paul Schlesselman 18 of West Helena Ark. appeared calm as the charges were read to them.” Our investigation has uncovered details revealed in interrogations of alleged murder plots on family members as well as innocents in the community. A plan which was alleged to include a theft of weapons from a local gun shop and shooting and or decapitation of at least 102 victims (88 were to be shot and 14 decapitated), African Americans if possible. It was to climax with an attempt to assassinate Presidential Candidate Barack Obama.

The Defendants are charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Sawed-off Shotgun,) Conspiracy to Steal Firearms, and Threats against a Presidential Candidate.

They are being held in Isolation Cells in the Criminal Justice Complex in Madison County. Their next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday
