Now in it's twelfth year, DAYBREAK is co-hosted by Steve Bowers and Greg Wood.  The show traces its News-Talk origin to a predecessor show hosted originally by Ken Gailey, Mary Ellen Cheatam and Dave Colvitt.  That show aired from Sept. 1993 into February 1994.

When Steve Bowers arrived in Feb. 1994 DAYBREAK was born, originally with Steve Bowers and Steve Hemann.  Keith Sanders and Dave Colvitt also came through during the first two years of the show before Greg Wood arrived in Feb. 1996. 

The current lineup had held for four years with sports from Diamond Dave McCulley a fixture from the beginning and Washington commentary from Ellen Ratner a daily feature.

DAYBREAK is the wakeup format with personality (and with Greg Wood attitude).  It mixes time, temp, weather, sports, news with entertainment highlights, business updates, and the daily morning quiz.  DAYBREAK is designed to begin your day in an informative yet pleasant way.
