LOS ANGELES (AP) — NBA commissioner David Stern says Jerry Buss was a "visionary owner" whose influence on pro basketball will be felt for decades to come. The L.A. Lakers owner died Monday at the age of 80 due to kidney failure, according to his assistant, Bob Steiner. The Lakers won 10 championships and went to the NBA Finals 16 times after Buss bought the team in 1979.
